Ngadyung dominates Swimming Carnival (18 March 2013)
Congratulations to Ngadyung (Water House), who claimed both the Spirit Cup and the Championship Trophy at the College's Swimming Carnival last Friday.

Held at the Dickson Aquatic Centre, students participated in chanting, swimming, and novelty events during an action-packed day that saw Ngadyung emerge victorious for the two trophies by a narrow margin on both occasions.

It was another excellent College event and the students are to be commended on their participation and House spirit. Congratulations to Sports Facilitator Nathan Wood and to the staff and students who made it an extremely enjoyable day!

Year 7 begins High School (5 January 2013)
St Mary MacKillop College welcomed its 325 new Year 7 students today, who spent their first full day at MacKillop's Wanniassa Campus.

There was a buzz around the playground at recess and lunch as the Year 7 students got to know each other and talked about their first classes at MacKillop.

While it can be a daunting experience to be a new student at Canberra's largest school, the Year 8s, Year 9s, and staff helped to make Year 7's transition to High School as comfortable as possible.

Year 12 attain impressive ATAR results (20 December 2012)
Congratulations to the Class of 2012, who have achieved excellent Year 12 results. Parker Blakey topped the College with an ATAR of 99.10, while the College had the third-highest percentage of students who received an ATAR of 65 or above, behind only Radford and Girls Grammar in the ACT.

Congratulations Year 12! It is pleasing to know you have set yourself in good stead for the future. We wish you the best for bright and happy futures!
