Congratulations to all students for the energy and positivity they have brought to the beginning of Term 3.
Term 3 commenced on Tuesday this week, with staff returning a day earlier to take part in professional learning and conduct planning for the term ahead.
Students returned to school excited to commence new classes for Semester 2 and to reunite with their friends and teachers. The College also welcomed a number of new students across all year groups.
With COVID-19 cases rising the ACT, the College is following the advice of Catholic Education and ACT Health in order to prioritise quality teaching and learning and the safety of staff and students throughout the term. On Tuesday, Principal Michael Lee communicated the key points of Catholic Education’s COVID-19 Management Plan with families, which included advice for staffing, visitors, sport, excursions, and events.
Despite some restrictions, the College is optimistic that key events like Year 12 Retreat, MacKillop Day, and the Athletics Carnival will go ahead.
There’s lots to be excited about this term. Good luck for Term 3!

St Mary of the Cross MacKillop made the statement: “We are but travellers here, so while we are here we should do as much good as we can and live in peace with each other.”
With this in mind, the College respectfully acknowledges the Ngunnawal people who are the Traditional Custodians and First People of the land on which we gather each day. The College also pays its respects to the Elders past, present and emerging, and any other Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander peoples living and working in the MacKillop community.
