The College held its annual Variety Night SRC fundraiser at the Padua Campus on Tuesday 24 September, and it was a huge success once again!
The audience was treated to a huge range of entertaining performances, including dancing, singing, band performances, stand-up comedy, acting, and magic. There was also a cameo performance from the famous Variety Night dinosaurs.
There were plenty of games for the audience, including Bingo, the Variety Night Quiz, MacKillop’s Got Talent, Heads or Tails, and a lucky door prize.
The event sold out ahead of time, which meant it raised more than $3000 towards MacKillop House and Roundabout Canberra, the College’s 2024 House Charities.
Thank you to the audience for the support they showed and congratulations to the performers, hosts and MCs, stage crew, sound and lighting team, and everyone involved in supporting the event.
A particular mention goes to the Performing Arts Captain, Zara Huber, who led the coordination of the event along with the College Media Team and the St Peter’s Campus SRC. It was a great night!

St Mary of the Cross MacKillop made the statement: “We are but travellers here, so while we are here we should do as much good as we can and live in peace with each other.”
With this in mind, the College respectfully acknowledges the Ngunnawal people who are the Traditional Custodians and First People of the land on which we gather each day. The College also pays its respects to the Elders past, present and emerging, and any other Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander peoples living and working in the MacKillop community.
