Congrats to Clue's Cast and Crew!

The 2024 College Production

Congratulations to the cast and crew of the 2024 College Production, Clue, for delivering five exceptional performances throughout Week 4.

The performances were the result of several months of hard work and dedication, and each show was rewarded with very positive feedback from those in attendance.

This year, MacKillop chose to do things a little differently with its major production.

Firstly, it was decided that the College would put on a revue rather than a musical, which brought in a number of dance and music performances alongside the main play.

Secondly, two main casts were chosen – one from the senior campus, and the other from the junior campus. This allowed the College to get more people involved, and also provided a backup option in case members of the cast were unable to perform.

Clue, which is based on the popular board game, Cluedo, is a murder mystery featuring comedy, intrigue, and lots of twists. The story follows six guests who gather for a dinner party at the home of Mr Boddy. When their host turns up dead, the guests race around to find the killer.

The students did a tremendous job at bringing the story to life!

Congratulations to the entire cast, backstage crew, sound and lighting technicians, choreographers, stage designers, costume and prop creators, front of house, and all students, parents, and staff who made the production possible. Particular thanks and congratulations to Bella van Doorn and Jacinta Paquay, who led the production, as well as the Performing Arts Captain, Zara Huber.

It was great to see the MacKillop community enjoying the talents of our staff and students once again. Congratulations!

A small gallery of photos from Clue will be available in the coming days.

Acknowledgement of Country

St Mary of the Cross MacKillop made the statement: “We are but travellers here, so while we are here we should do as much good as we can and live in peace with each other.”

With this in mind, the College respectfully acknowledges the Ngunnawal people who are the Traditional Custodians and First People of the land on which we gather each day. The College also pays its respects to the Elders past, present and emerging, and any other Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander peoples living and working in the MacKillop community.
