Project Compassion 2026

Caritas fundraising begins

The College’s Project Compassion fundraising campaign commenced on Ash Wednesday as the Catholic Church celebrated the start of Lent.

Project Compassion, which is the major fundraising activity for Caritas Australia, seeks to raise funds for people living in some of the most vulnerable communities across the world. The collection runs across the six weeks of Lent each year, which means it will continue until the end of Term 1.

The College is aiming to continue its strong support of Project Compassion in 2026, with each campus setting a target of $8,000 ($16,000 in total).

Cash and card* donations will be accepted through Pastoral Care Classes and at a number of events, which will include food stalls and the ‘Caritas Corner’ station at both the Swimming and Athletics Carnivals.

The theme of Project Compassion 2026 is ‘Unite Against Poverty this Lent’, which reminds us that we can join together to empower people to lift themselves out of poverty.

More information can be found on the Caritas website.

The College would like to thank the community for getting behind this worthy cause!

*Card donations will be accepted on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the St Peter’s Campus, and Tuesdays and Thursdays on the Padua Campus.
