Graduation Mass and Awards

Graduation for Year 12 2022

The Class of 2022 celebrated its Graduation Mass on Friday 2 December at an event that included the presentation of the 2022 Perpetual Awards.

Held in the St Peter's Campus gymnasium, the Mass was celebrated by College Chaplain Fr James Antony, with readings by the College Executive and the Year 12 SRC. The PCoPA choir provided the music for the event.

Over the past few years, COVID restrictions had impacted numbers at the Graduation Mass, but the lack of those limits in 2022 meant that the gymnasium was packed with families and friends.

To conclude the Mass, Principal Michael Lee prayed a blessing over the Graduating Class as the students prepare to take the first step in their journey beyond school.

After Mass, several students were presented with the College's Perpetual Awards. These awards recognise the outstanding contribution the recipients have made to the College during their time with us.

Elite Athlete Awards were also presented to Ebony Brunt and Clare Levings.

Congratulations to the Class of 2022!

Acknowledgement of Country

St Mary of the Cross MacKillop made the statement: “We are but travellers here, so while we are here we should do as much good as we can and live in peace with each other.”

With this in mind, the College respectfully acknowledges the Ngunnawal people who are the Traditional Custodians and First People of the land on which we gather each day. The College also pays its respects to the Elders past, present and emerging, and any other Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander peoples living and working in the MacKillop community.
