The College would like to congratulate the Class of 2025 on their outstanding Year 12 results, which were released on Tuesday 16 December.
The Graduating Class performed strongly in not only the pursuit of ATARs (Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank) but also in the achievement of Vocational Education and Training (VET) Certificates.
The College Dux, Alexander Kwiatkowski, achieved an ATAR of 99.90, with Ry Kolak-Rezo (99.60) and Hima Pynadath (99.45) rounding out the top three. A total of five MacKillop students achieved an ATAR above 99 and 31 achieved an ATAR above 90.
Just as importantly, MacKillop was able to present 143 VET Certificates and Statements of Attainment to the students of Year 12. These qualifications were achieved through our vocational learning programs, which aim to develop students’ skills and prepare them for apprenticeships, the workforce, or further training at CIT/TAFE.
On the day, 100% of ATAR seekers received a result that was higher than their predicted score, with some students achieving an ATAR as much as 16 points higher than expected. A big reason for that was Year 12's performance in the ACT Scaling Test (AST), underpinned by the College’s carefully crafted AST program.
They also performed strongly in the final semester, despite the fact that many students had already received an early offer to university prior to the sitting of the AST in August. This proved that Year 12 were determined to finish the year as strongly as possible.

The following is a summary of Year 12’s achievement:
In an interview with WIN News, our Principal, Mr Michael Lee, praised the efforts of each student in the Graduating Class.
“Look, I’m proud of every year group, but I'm really happy for these kids, because they're superstars,” Mr Lee said.
“We don’t have an academic selection entry requirement, so everyone comes to MacKillop, and there's students walking around today who were expecting 65, and they've got 80. And that's a fantastic outcome for them.
“Our students are always about so much more than a number, and that's a message they understand. But numbers are important. Our ATAR seekers have embarked upon a program that leads to a number.
“Most students in Year 12 from this school will be spending this afternoon going online and changing their preferences because they've got more options. And I'm really proud of them, and very grateful to every teacher that ever worked with them, from early childhood, through primary school, right through to Year 12.
“I think if you're passionate about what you do, there's going to be a good outcome. And these kids are going to have great careers as tertiary students, and in the workforce, because they're passionate about the things that they're doing. Good luck to each and every one of them.”
