Cinderella - a great success!

First major production in the new theatre

Congratulations to the cast and crew of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, MacKillop’s 2025 College Musical.

The production was the first musical held in the new St Peter’s Campus Performing Arts Centre, with students and staff delivering four exceptional performances throughout Week 4.

After performing a revue in 2024, MacKillop chose to return to a musical for its major production this year, opting to go with the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical.

MacKillop’s production of Cinderella boasted two casts, a live orchestra, living sets, a huge ensemble, members of the Dance Company and Dance Crew, light and sound technicians, and a talented backstage team. There was also a large team behind the production, with staff and students assisting with such things as choreography, direction, costume design, props and sets, front of house, and event promotion.

The well-known story of Cinderella follows a young woman forced into a life of servitude by her cruel stepmother and self-centered stepsisters. With the help of her fairy godmother, Cinderella is transformed into a princess and finds true love with the kingdom's prince.

The students did a tremendous job at bringing this story to life!

Congratulations and thank you to everyone involved in the musical. It was great to see the MacKillop community enjoying the talents of our staff and students after months of hard work and dedication. Congratulations!
