Open Day 2022

Showcasing our school at Open Day

St Mary MacKillop College held an extremely successful Open Day at the Padua Campus on Monday 2 May.

Well over 1500 people attended the event over three different sessions in the afternoon and evening.

Each session commenced with a presentation from our Principal, Mr Michael Lee, followed by tours of the campus, which were led by student volunteers in Years 8, 9 and 12.

Throughout the tours, our guests were able to visit curriculum stalls and witness student demonstrations, which aimed to provide them with information as well as a sense of MacKillop’s community energy.

The feedback from our guests has been overwhelmingly positive.

The College would like to thank all who attended, as well as the many students and staff who gave up their time to showcase their school.

Acknowledgement of Country

St Mary of the Cross MacKillop made the statement: “We are but travellers here, so while we are here we should do as much good as we can and live in peace with each other.”

With this in mind, the College respectfully acknowledges the Ngunnawal people who are the Traditional Custodians and First People of the land on which we gather each day. The College also pays its respects to the Elders past, present and emerging, and any other Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander peoples living and working in the MacKillop community.
